Barbershop partner program

Partner terms

Version 2026-09-25 · You accept these terms when you check the box and create a partner account.

The short version

01The program

Fitcut (“we”) runs a free haircut-fit analysis for adults. The partner program lets a barbershop or stylist (“you”) invite clients to use it and earn a share of the memberships they buy. It is a partnership: you pay us nothing, and we do not pay you to promote us beyond the revenue share below.

02Revenue share

For 12 months after a customer is first attributed to your shop, you earn 50% of the Net Revenue from every payment they make in that window: the first membership charge and any renewal charged before the window ends. Payments after the window (for example a yearly renewal a year later) don’t earn.

Net Revenue means the amount the customer paid, minus Stripe processing fees, sales tax we collect, refunds, and chargebacks (including dispute fees). Your share is rounded down to the cent.

If a purchase is later refunded or disputed, the matching part of your share is reversed. If that happens after you were paid, the reversal is deducted from your future earnings.

03Attribution

  • A customer is attributed to you when they open your shop link or QR code (/s/your-shop) or enter your printed shop code.
  • First touch wins: if a customer was already attributed to another shop within the last 12 months, that shop keeps the credit.
  • Attribution relies on a first-party cookie and, once the customer gives us their email, that email. If a customer clears cookies and never shares an email, we may not be able to credit you. Our records decide.

04Disclosure (mandatory)

You are paid when your clients buy, so the law requires that connection to be disclosed (FTC Endorsement Guides, 16 CFR 255.5). Every asset we generate includes “Partner shop: we earn a share if you buy”.

  • Don’t remove, cover or shrink the disclosure line on any poster, card, sticker or post.
  • If you make your own materials or posts about Fitcut, include the same line.
  • If you recommend Fitcut out loud, it’s fine to mention that the shop earns a share.

05What you must not do

  • Self-dealing. One purchase by your own shop (for example, trying it on yourself) counts. Further purchases by you, your staff’s accounts or cards you control earn nothing.
  • Buy, or pay or reward anyone to buy, in order to generate earnings. No fake purchases.
  • Make claims we don’t make: no guarantees about results, nothing that rates anyone’s looks, and no claims about how the analysis works beyond what our site says.
  • Promote Fitcut to anyone under 18. The service is for adults only.
  • Send spam or unsolicited messages, or bid on Fitcut’s name in search ads.
  • Ask clients to send you their selfies or results. They can choose to share a barber card with your shop.

06Fraud review and pausing

We watch for signs of abuse, such as unusual purchase velocity, many purchases from one device, card-country mismatches, or refund and chargeback rates above 10%. We may pause your partnership while we review; paused shops keep accruing but are not paid until the review ends. Earnings from purchases we determine were fraudulent or broke these terms are reversed.

07Payouts

  • Payouts go through Stripe Connect Express. Stripe collects your identity, bank and tax details (including a W-9). You can join before finishing Stripe setup; earnings accrue and are paid once setup is complete.
  • Each earning is held for 30 days to cover refunds, then becomes available.
  • We pay monthly (around the 5th) when your available balance is $25.00 or more. Smaller balances roll forward.
  • You are responsible for your own taxes. Stripe may issue a Form 1099 when your earnings reach the IRS or state reporting threshold.
  • We absorb Stripe’s payout fees. Amounts are in US dollars.

08Eligibility

The program is open to barbershops and hair stylists located in the United States, run by someone 18 or older. A license number is optional at signup; we may ask for it, or check it with your state board, before paying out.

09Client privacy

Customers’ photos are never shared with you. You only see a barber card when a customer explicitly chooses to share it with your shop, and you may use it only to prepare for their appointment.

10Our name and materials

You may display the materials we generate for your shop and use the Fitcut name to describe the partnership. We may list your shop (name, address, booking link and specialties) in our partner directory and on barber cards. You can ask us to remove a listing at any time.

11Ending the partnership

Either side can end the partnership at any time by email. After it ends, we pay any available balance of $25.00 or more at the next payout run once the hold has passed. Balances below $25.00 at that point are not paid. If you broke these terms, unpaid earnings may be forfeited.

12Changes and general terms

We’ll email you at least 30 days before any material change to these terms; staying in the program after that means you accept the change. You are an independent business, not our employee, agent or joint venturer. To the extent the law allows, our total liability under these terms is limited to the earnings we owe you.
