Terms of use and refund policy

Fitcut is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it, and you confirm your age before the camera opens. The image models behind the previews require this, and so do we.

Only upload a photo of yourself, or of an adult who has given you permission. Never upload a photo of anyone under 18.

Fitcut measures face proportions on your device, reads hair traits from your photo, and ranks haircuts with a fixed set of rules. The ranking, reasons and barber card are information to help you and your barber decide. They are not a promise of how a real haircut will turn out, which depends on your barber, your hair’s growth and how you style it.

Every reason is tagged with how strong its evidence is, and some rest on stylist convention rather than research. Nothing on Fitcut is medical advice. If you’re concerned about hair loss or thinning, see a dermatologist.

• Previews are AI-generated illustrations of a haircut on your photo. Each one is labelled “AI preview”, and images from Google’s models also carry an invisible SynthID watermark.
• We ask the models to change only your hair and check every render for changes to your face before you see it. Models can still make mistakes, which is what the likeness guarantee is for.
• Free previews carry a visible watermark. Member previews don’t.
• Back-of-head views are reference renders on a synthetic model, clearly labelled. They are not you.
• Don’t use previews to mislead anyone about who is pictured, or present them as real photos of a haircut.

The analysis is free and needs no card. Previews on your own face and the other features below come with a membership, billed in US dollars through Stripe; sales tax is added where it applies. If the charge appears on your card statement under our payment account’s name rather than Fitcut, the checkout page and your confirmation email say exactly what it shows.

What members get: the full ranked list of cuts (top 10 highlighted), 30 previews a month on your own photo with no watermark, beard and color variants, HD downloads, full barber cards with a PDF for every ranked cut, unlimited rescans within fair use (currently up to 20 analyses a day per membership) and recut reminders by email. The membership works in the browser you joined from and anywhere you sign in with your checkout email; the account link in our emails lets you manage or cancel it, not use it.

Automatic renewal: your membership renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and we charge the plan price above to the payment method you used, until you cancel. You see the exact amount and the renewal cadence before you pay, and we email a confirmation with these terms and a cancel link. Yearly members get a reminder email 7 to 30 days before each renewal; monthly members get a reminder of these terms once a year, on the anniversary of joining. We keep a record of the terms you agreed to and when. There is no minimum term, no trial that converts, and no weekly plan. If we ever change the price, we’ll email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.

Monthly preview allowance: each preview, HD render or beard/color variant uses one of your 30 monthly previews; free “Doesn’t look like me” redos and renders that fail on our side never do, and deleting a preview doesn’t give it back. When you join, your top 5 previews on that analysis render right away (5 of your 30); on later analyses nothing renders until you ask. The allowance resets every month: on your billing date for monthly members, and on the same day each month (the anniversary of when you joined) for yearly members. Unused previews don’t roll over. Past the limit, previews you ask for wait in a queue and render after the reset; there are never per-preview charges. For your privacy we delete your photo 24 hours after an analysis, so queued previews render only while it’s held, when you open the report again with the photo still in your browser, or after a fresh scan.

Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries the card. Your membership keeps working for 3 days (new previews wait until the payment goes through), then pauses until the payment goes through or the membership ends.

• Cancel anytime, online, in one click: open your account (or the link in any membership email) and press “Cancel membership”. No phone call, no questionnaire, no retention offers in the way. You can also email support@fitcut.xyz and we’ll cancel it for you.
• Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and you aren’t charged again. You can resume before that date if you change your mind.
• Cancelling doesn’t delete your data; deletion is separate and always available on the privacy page.

• Free redo: every preview has a “Doesn’t look like me” button. Tap it and we re-render that preview at no charge; it doesn’t use your monthly allowance.
• Then a refund: if the redo still doesn’t look like you, you’re entitled to a full refund of your first charge, as long as you ask within 7 days of it. We cancel the membership at the same time so it doesn’t renew.
• If we can’t deliver: when we can’t render a preview faithfully we say so rather than show it, and we’ll re-run it without using your allowance.
• Renewals and anything else: refunds of renewal charges and other requests are at our discretion. We read every one.

To ask for a refund, reply to your confirmation email or email support@fitcut.xyz. Refunds go back to the original payment method, and a fully refunded charge ends the access it paid for. If a partner barbershop referred you, its share of that payment is reversed too.

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card details.

You keep ownership of your photos. You give us a limited licence to process them only to provide the service, for as long as our retention schedule allows. We never train models on your photos without your separate, opt-in consent.

The previews made for you are yours to keep and share for personal, non-commercial use. The site, the haircut catalog, the scoring engine and the barber-card format belong to Fitcut.

• No photos of minors, and no photos of other people without their permission.
• No explicit, violent or hateful images. The service will refuse them.
• No automated access, scraping, or attempts to get around free-tier limits.
• No attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.

If you arrive through a partner barbershop’s QR code or link, that shop earns a share of the membership payments you make in the 12 months after your first scan. Your price is the same either way. Shops never see your photo or results unless you choose to share a barber card with them. The program itself runs under the partner terms.

Fitcut is provided as it is. We work hard on accuracy and likeness, but we can’t promise every recommendation or preview will be right for you.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it, and we aren’t liable for indirect losses. Nothing here limits rights you have that can’t be limited by law, including your consumer rights.

These terms are version 2026-09-25. If we change them materially, we’ll update this page and, where it matters, ask you to accept again. If something goes wrong, email support@fitcut.xyz first; we’ll try to put it right within 30 days.
